Baelas

A true blood elven ranger of the Wild

Description:
Bio:

In depths of the Yarneya Nadath, that the people of Fal Tannor call the Whispering Wood, many of the true blood elves live in peace among the gnomes and pixies and fey. Their lives are simple and pure, removed from the tide of civilization that has diminished their line. Baelas lived there for over a century, and was content. The powers of the Living Wood are strong, and it would take an army to enter its depths uninvited. It was a good home.
But every once in a while there is a Calling.
Baelas became part of an ancient elven tradition. Occasionally, a true blood is born that can sense ALL the Pathways of the Realm. With the right training, they need never fear the primal dangers and certain death that await those who stray from the paths of the Wild. Those who posses such gifts are called the Amrodelle.
Once it was realized that Baelas was Amrodelle, he met with the Mistress of the Wood, an aged, venerable gnome, closest to the Goddess. She told Baelas to seek his Path where the personal and spiritual Calling, or Esta Ontarre, would show him his place in the Realm. For years Baelas travelled the busy and confusing country of Tellarainne, finally settling in its northern border, near the far more primal wood of the Cassell Nadath. He pledged himself to Duke Lornodel Fal Tannor of Brinigarr, Guardian of the North, and, with his “rangers,” protect against the goblin-kin of the mountains, and other threats that spill from the mountain pass.
The Duke is a surprisingly impressive figure. It is said he has given up any claim to the Throne to Guard his homeland. Though not of true blood, he can trace his lineage to the Silent Queen in the South. In fact, Baelas has found an unexpected camaraderie with nearly all the members of the Duke’s staff. If Baelas were not serving a greater Calling (which has been explained to the Duke), he believes he could find comfort here.
His nickname in the Rangers is “Baely.”
